Building Ohana is developing an intergenerational, intentional community in Spokane, Washington to harness the power of home and village to enhance the physical, social, and civic capacities of every resident ? including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities ? in the context of a caring and committed neighborhood of support.
The Building Ohana team of architects, accountants, engineers, behavior analysts, teachers, disability specialists and families was incorporated in June 2013, after a year of research and concept development, as a nonprofit organization in the state of Washington, and is formally affiliated with Generations of Hope Development Corporation.
